Farm-to-Glass season

At Frey Ranch, we believe what’s in your glass should be as honest and transparent as what’s on your plate. Just as the farm-to-table movement has transformed the way people think about food, Farm-to-Glass is redefining how we think about spirits and the ingredients in our cocktails — celebrating fresh ingredients, responsible farming, and a deep connection to the land.

At Frey Ranch, we celebrate “Farm-to-Glass Season” during the spring and summer when we begin planting most of our crops.  Which happens to also be when you’ll see your local farmer’s market selling all the freshest ingredients for “farm fresh” cocktails to make at home, or enjoy at your favorite bar or restaurant.

Bees are nature’s original stewards. Their pollinating superpowers sustain crops, preserve biodiversity, and promote healthy ecosystems. Farmers understand this intimately — because what bees need, farmers need too. Like many agricultural families, our CO-FOUNDERS – Colby & Ashley Frey – see themselves as temporary stewards of the land, committed to leaving it better for future generations. That philosophy has guided the family’s farming practices in Northern Nevada for more than 170 years.

Unlike most distilleries, Frey Ranch grows 100% of the grains used in its whiskeys on our family farm, distills them on site, and bottles every drop at the source. This complete life-cycle process, from seed to harvest to distillation to bottle, ensures unmatched transparency and quality. It also makes it possible to create a true 100% farm-to-table cocktail: estate-grown whiskey paired with fresh, seasonal ingredients.

During farm-to-glass season (April to July), Frey Ranch will donate a portion of proceeds to support pollinator initiatives, donating up to $10,000 to Pollinator Partnership. Because when we protect pollinators, we protect farms. And when farms thrive, communities thrive. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to land stewardship, ecosystem vitality, and sustainable agriculture — values deeply embedded in Frey Ranch’s multi-generational farming heritage.

For every Farm-to-Glass cocktail or whiskey bottle sold during the program, Frey Ranch will donate a portion of proceeds to support pollinator initiatives. Because when we protect pollinators, we protect farms. And when farms thrive, communities thrive.

From Grain to Glass to Growth — Farm-to-Glass isn’t just a cocktail feature, it’s a commitment to leaving behind a better farm and planet than we found.
